Hyundai has recently inaugurated IONIQ Lab in Korea, the new \u201clong term\u201d research and development center that will study and redefine the mobility of the future through innovation paths, research and academic projects. The IONIQ Lab is part of the Project Ioniq – announced in March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show – which aims to study and anticipate social, energetic and technological change that will affect the 2030 mobility.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Project Ioniq Lab will work together with universities, academic institutions and Hyundai staff. Works will be coordinated by Dr. Lee Jong Soon, professor of Seoul National University and Director of the Korea Future Design & Research Institute, who will head a team of 10 researchers and 10 experienced consultants.<\/p>\n

Hyundai intends to converge on ‘Project Ioniq Lab’ different technologies to propose new concepts of mobility and services, to meet the changing needs and expectations of today’s society. The center will in fact identify the 12 automotive trends of the coming years, including solutions to reduce pollution, accidents and take advantage of technology to increase transfer freedom, also with new modes of transport.<\/p>\n<\/div>
