The new Insignia flagship that will be debuting at the Geneva Show in March also falls in with today\u2019s Opel styling. Designed with an eye to the \u201csculptural artistry\u201d of the Monza Concept (unveiled in 2013), it is built on the new E2 platform which has delivered weight saving of up to 175 kg in spite of the increase in dimensions (+55 mm in length and +92 mm in wheelbase). While holding on to its three-box body, the proportions of the Insignia therefore become sleeker (the seating is lowered by 30 mm) hence the choice of the new name Insigna Grand Sport. The wagon variant and its \u201call terrain\u201d interpretation with raised set-up and side bumper guards will be called respectively the Insignia Sport Tourer and Insignia Country Tourer.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The sixth but by no means least significant novelty in the pipeline for 2017 is the Ampera-e unveiled in Paris, \u201ca segment B on the outside and a C on the inside\u201d, due to the purely electric drive and therefore to an architecture that has made it possible to achieve a roomy cabin without a centre tunnel, with five comfortable seats and 381 litres of luggage space in a length of just 4.17 m. Similar to the American Chevrolet Bolt, it offers a range of more than 500 km, a leader among the electric models of its class.Closing the year of the \u201c7 in 17\u201d will be the new Vivaro, a facelifted version of the Opel range\u2019s light commercial vehicle that promises to be even more versatile and flexible.<\/p>\n
