Volvo means station wagon. The values of the Swedish manufacturer have always translated into cars designed to put safety, space and comfort first. A styling story that has been going on for more than 90 years, but how can we combine the versatility and driving pleasure of a traditional station wagon with the tastes of a public that is increasingly oriented towards the architecture of SUVs and crossovers?<\/p>\n<\/div>

Volvo was the first to understand the potential of models halfway between traditional and off-road cars, “cross-overs” in the true sense of the word: the Cross Country set-up made its debut in 1997 on the V70. A story that continues on the current range and now Volvo has presented in Milan the V60 Cross Country, a version of the Swedish family car with aesthetic and technical characteristics that bring it closer to the world of off-roaders.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The “off-roader” look derives from the black plastic that acts as a bumper around the perimeter of the body, and from the 75 mm higher ground clearance compared to the standard version. In addition, all-wheel drive is offered as standard, along with a dedicated suspension system and servo devices that help the V60 Cross Country on rough or unpaved roads, plus the Off-Road driving mode. The interior has remained substantially unchanged, retaining the concept of rational elegance and high quality materials typical of the Volvo style.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The V60 Cross Country was world premiered at the Volvo Studio Milano, the showroom that the Gothenburg manufacturer opened in 2017 in the Citylife area of the Lombard capital, just a few steps from Piazza Gae Aluenti. The showroom\u2019s concept design was done by Tham & Videg\u00e5rd Arkitekter and designed by Italian architect Gaspare Inglese starting in late 2016.<\/p>\n<\/div>
