The UX Concept was developed at Lexus\u2019 ED2 design studio in the South of France: \u201cOur brief was to create a new genre of crossover; a vehicle that would progress the ownership experience and create something really unique. Guided by the three Lexus design principles of \u201cYET philosophy\u201d, \u201chuman-centred\u201d and \u201cpioneering\u201d, they developed the \u201cCross-Create\u201d design approach which lead to the following creative statements.<br \/>\n<strong>1. Exterior and interior<\/strong><br \/>\nUsing the idea of \u2018engawa\u2019, Lexus designers worked to smooth the boundary between the exterior and interior of the car, connecting them with near seamless continuity. This approach is most evident in the UX driver\u2019s seat, where one really senses the extremities of the car, making it much easier to drive and manoeuvre.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-3 nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-3 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p><strong>2. Stylish and Functional<\/strong><br \/>\nWhilst wheel arch mouldings are generally installed to protect Suv bodywork from stone chips, they have a secondary function on the new UX: that of aerodynamically stabilizing the car.
