\u0160koda will be presenting its next step towards electric mobility at the Geneva Motor Show with the Vision iV concept study. Now releasing two design sketches, \u0160koda whets the appetite for its first vehicle based on the MEB, the platform dedicated to Volkswagen\u2019s Group electric cars. The four-door crossover coup\u00e9 features fascinating sporty and emotional lines. \u201cThe front wide lighting blade is a brand new feature which will be typical for \u0160koda EVs. It creates the face of this concept car and delivers very modern and up to date look and also supports very strong and confident stance of the car\u201d, said Oliver Stefani, head of Czech brand design.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The Vision iV combines an athletic body, 22-inch aerodynamically optimised wheels and powerfully flared mudguards with a pronounced coup\u00e9-like, flowing roofline. A characteristic tornado line connecting the front and rear emphasises the clean surfaces of the doors without handles. Cameras, whose housings are visually reminiscent of shark fins, take the place of traditional exterior mirrors. The front characterises a reinterpretation of brand\u2019s typically wide covered grille, featuring fine vertical ribs and crystalline structures.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The horizontal light strip in the upper part of the grille and strikingly large air intakes in the front apron emphasise the sporty appearance. The powerful rear features aerodynamic spoiler edges and crystalline LED tail lights. They redefine the typical \u0160koda C-shape and emphasise the width of the vehicle in combination with a light strip above the rear diffuser. Another eye-catching element at the rear is the \u0160koda logo; the individual letters are lit up in red.<\/p>\n<\/div>

An interior sketch of the car provides an outlook on surprising solutions in \u0160koda’s first all-electric vehicle. The innovative, user-friendly arrangement of the instrument panel and centre console creates new accents. There is also a seemingly free-floating central screen and a newly designed two-spoke steering wheel. The traditional centre tunnel is not used, so the designers used the possibilities of the new MEB platform to create a spacious and innovative interior. For example, they reconfigured the layout of the instrument panel and centre console. Between the driver and the passenger seat, the Vision iV offers plenty of storage space on the lowest level, above which there is a centre console that is particularly easy to reach for the driver and front passenger. Two mobile phones, which can be wirelessly integrated into the infotainment and operating system, can be placed in the console while they charge inductively. The instrument panel consists of two levels whose lines and decorative stitching draw inspiration from the front of the vehicle. The large free-standing screen appears to hover centrally above the instrument panel, in front of which there is a ledge for the hand that operates the touch screen. The steering wheel has also been redesigned, now featuring two spokes and brand in block capitals in place of the familiar \u0160koda logo.<\/p>\n<\/div>
