In Geneva, designers’ concepts anticipate the trends of car manufacturers wink at a contemporary luxury made of emotionality, innovation, technology and contemporary lifestyle. All trends that Alcantara interprets, with highly customizable solutions. The designers of the Color&Trim department of the manufacturers can count on a large number of colours, also made to measure by Alcantara, in shades with the bodywork. Designers have to reconcile the need for pleasant interiors with lightness and sustainability, especially for those models suited to the electric. Many cars and concept cars have chosen this type of covering, such as the Audi Q4 e-tron in which the Alcantara plain ice colour combines, in a play of light contrasts and volumes, with plain beige. The result is an airy interior that evokes contemporary, enveloping luxury.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Italdesign is exhibiting a futuristic console in beige Alcantara on the gran turismo DaVinci, which highlights the temperature controls and other functions thanks to a backlighting of white light. Almost like a sensory tattoo, the drawn icons touch each other and the backlighting activated by the contact provides information to the driver, like a soft touch screen.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Nissan presented the IMq concept. The interiors are almost entirely covered in grey Alcantara in two shades, one darker for the pavilion and one ice grey for the lower part of the dashboard, the seats, the steering wheel, the doors and numerous details. The Japanese brand’s Style Centre interprets the material with two-tone 3D processing inspired by the geometric design of Kumiko woodworking. A superimposition of two different shades of different materials and laser processing whose motif is repeated not only on the seats, but also on the dashboard, on the doors and on the storage shelf, like a modern embroidery that decorates the interior of this concept.<\/p>\n<\/div>
