{"id":3792,"date":"2006-04-19T16:59:38","date_gmt":"2006-04-19T14:59:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autodesignmagazine.com\/en\/2006\/04\/inovo-lirica-modernita-progettuale\/"},"modified":"2015-12-02T17:08:14","modified_gmt":"2015-12-02T16:08:14","slug":"inovo-lirica-modernita-progettuale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/autodesignmagazine.com\/en\/2006\/04\/inovo-lirica-modernita-progettuale\/","title":{"rendered":"Inovo Lirica, modernity in design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p>\u201cAn Eighteenth Century villa furnished with ultramodern furniture and equipped with state of the art technology.\u201d This comparison, borrowed from the architect Maurizio Ficcadenti &#8211; founder and chairman of Inovo Design in Turin &#8211; captures the essence of the Lirica concept car exhibited on the stand of the emerging Turin-based studio at Geneva.<\/p>\n<p>This five-metre-long coup\u00e9 is the result of a double-edged challenge undertaken by Ficcadenti and his team: \u201cOur first objective was to prove to ourselves that we are capable of developing a complete project in a very short timescale\u201d. This cannot, of course, be compared with the time involved when working for a client, he points out. \u201cWe also wanted to prove that our working methods, based solely on virtual design, can be applied to any type of car, even the most traditional\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The exterior design is defined by sweeping surfaces, with particular emphasis on the flared arches that stand out boldly in the overall side view of the car.
