The French citycar won first place in the prestigious international award with 281 points. On the podium two electric cars: second place for the Tesla Model 3 with 242 points, third the Porsche Taycan (222).<\/p>\n<p><strong>STRONG PERSONALITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the new Peugeot 208, it is all about the proportions. The perfect balance of height, width, wheelbase, overhang, windshield rake, and glass to sheet metal. The rear window of the 205 was inclined at almost exactly a 45-degree angle, Vidal said, and the inside of the C pillar is vertical, with rounded corners. \u201cWe created almost exactly that triangle right above the rear wheel &#8212; it\u2019s very simple and powerful in terms of recognition,\u201d he said of the new 208. The wheel-arch treatment also has the effect of improving the proportions, at least visually.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div visually ideal proportions you want to put the wheels at the four corners of the car as much as you can, at least for a little car,\u201d Vidal said. \u201cAnd you want to make the wheels as large as you can.\u201d The extended arch trim makes the wheels seem bigger, and shortens the overhang. \u201cIt makes the car interesting and exciting,\u201d Vidal added.<\/p>\n<\/div><div
