Under this brand Hyundai will launch a range of zero-emission vehicles named by a number: even numbers will be used for sedans, odd numbers will be used to indicate SUVs. The brand’s first model will be the Ioniq 5, a C-segment SUV, making its debut in early 2021. The car is based on the electric concept “45”, presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019 as a tribute to the first Hyundai Pony Coupé designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro.

In 2022 the Ioniq 6 saloon will arrive, inspired by the Hyundai Prophecy electric concept, followed in early 2024 by the full-size Ioniq 7 Suv. Despite different personalities and architectures, the design of the Ioniq vehicles will have a common theme, that of “Timeless Value”. The vehicles will be inspired by models from the past but will represent a bridge to the future. The models of the new brand will be based on a global electric modular platform called E-GMP.

The dedicated EV platform will allow Hyundai to re-imagine the interior of vehicles as a “smart living space”. The models will feature highly adjustable seats, wireless connectivity and unique features such as storage compartments designed as drawers. The platform paradigm shift will extend to user interfaces that will be simple, intuitive and ergonomically designed to make passengers feel comfortable.

[28

post-42430","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
