The designer will take up his new role from 1 March 2021. Mindt succeeds <a href=\"http:\/\/autodesignmagazine.com\/en\/2021\/01\/stefan-sielaff-leaves-bentley-design-direction-to-join-geely\/\"><strong>Stefan Sielaff<\/strong><\/a>, who is leaving the company after almost six years to become the number one design director at the Chinese Geely Group. Mindt will be based at Bentley&#8217;s headquarters in Crewe, UK, and will lead a team of around 50 designers working across exterior, interior, colour and trim, concept and showcar design.<\/p>\n<p>With more than 25 years of experience in automotive design, all within the Volkswagen Group, prior to this promotion Andreas Mindt was responsible for Audi&#8217;s interior design for around six years and was responsible for the styling of all of the premium manufacturer&#8217;s latest models, included the Q8 and 100% electric e-tron SUVs. Before joining Audi, Mindt spent more than 15 years in the Volkswagen design department at the company&#8217;s headquarters in Wolfsburg. &#8220;Bentley is a global brand with a long history and a strong design presence.
