{"id":4718,"date":"2007-12-19T16:17:01","date_gmt":"2007-12-19T15:17:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/autodesignmagazine.com\/en\/2007\/12\/mercedes-f700-influenze-marine\/"},"modified":"2015-12-15T16:34:25","modified_gmt":"2015-12-15T15:34:25","slug":"mercedes-f700-influenze-marine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/autodesignmagazine.com\/en\/2007\/12\/mercedes-f700-influenze-marine\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes F700, marine influence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p>The German company Mercedes-Benz makes very few pure concept cars, and when it does, it is to express new technology more than stylistic trends.<\/p>\n<p>While the Bionic car and the F600 concept seen in 2005 were, respectively,<br \/>\na study in aerodynamics inspired by nature and an exploration into the future<br \/>\nof fuel cells, the F700 unveiled on the three-pointed star\u2019s stand at Frankfurt<br \/>\nis much closer to today\u2019s reality and explores two aspects in particular<br \/>\nof the current state of the art.<\/p>\n<p>The first of these aspects is the interior, which the majority of designers today<br \/>\nbelieve offers much more scope for creativity and innovation than<br \/>\nexterior design.<\/p>\n<p>The second is an ecological, or at least less polluting, aspect that carmakers<br \/>\nare now trying to extend into even the most heavily criticised segments,<br \/>\nsuch as SUVs and luxury saloons.<\/p>\n<p><small><strong>The article continues in Auto &amp;
