Klaus Zyciora, head of Volkswagen Group&#8217;s design, describes in a video the genesis and main characteristics of the Volkswagen ID.5 GTX, the highest performance version of the German SUV coup\u00e9 powered by two electric motors for a total output of 220 kW. The front of the ID.5 stands out for its muscular lines, defined by the Volkswagen style centre headed by Jozef Kaba\u0148. The determining factor in achieving good aerodynamic characteristics is the basic shape of the bodywork, with the greenhouse gently sloping towards the rear as it gradually narrows. The interior of the ID.5 is based on the general styling of its cousin ID.4. The designers have reduced the number of physical buttons in favour of two displays for instrumentation (5.3 inches) and infotainment (12 inches).
