The design of the car echoes what was seen on the concept of the same name that announced its arrival presented at the Art Basel event in 2021. The proportions are those of a large SUV (5.11 metres long, 2 metres wide, 1.75 metres high and 3.10 metres wheelbase) with powerful volumes and an elongated silhouette: design elements typical of the M brand, with a reworked interpretation of the look of the front end created for BMW&#8217;s luxury segment models such as the 7 Series, X7 and iX.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div separate units, a double-kidney grille with golden contours and continuous perimeter lighting, as well as large air intakes, are the elements that characterise the front end. On the side, a gold-coloured band recalls the black stripe that runs along the bodywork of the M1. Further reminders of the past are the engraved logos on the flat rear window and the slatted structure of the rear lights. Standard equipment includes M multi-function seats, knee protectors and an M leather steering wheel, as well as specific graphics including turn signals for the BMW Curved Display and BMW Head-Up Display. The rear of the XM has been designed inspired by an exclusive lounge. Heated backrests extend to the sides of the rear compartment and cushions reportedly offer passengers high levels of comfort. The sculptural headliner has a three-dimensional prism structure and 100 LED units for lighting.
