He will take up his duties from next September. S\u00fchlmann has worked for many major luxury brands including Bentley, Bugatti and Aston Martin. For S\u00fchlmann, this is a return to McLaren, where in his previous experience he held the position of Lead Designer for Special Projects, overseeing the design of the McLaren Solus GT single-seat hypercar.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00fchlmann will work from the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. Tobias S\u00fchlmann graduated from the University of Pforzheim in 2005 before joining the Volkswagen Group the same year. He later continued his career by becoming Head of Exterior Design at Bugatti and Head of Exterior Design at Aston Martin.
