Developed jointly by Audi and Porsche, the new platform is scalable and modular, accommodating a wide range of models in the mid- and luxury segments in different body configurations: from SUVs to projecting a cornerstone of its technical and styling DNA into the future: lighting technology. The second generation of Oled technology for headlights and taillights not only distinguishes the look of the new models, but also significantly expands the range of functions for the benefit of both individual and collective safety. Looking specifically at the rear light clusters with Oled 2.0 technology, six cores integrate a total of 360 segments capable of generating a new light image every ten milliseconds. The active light signature makes the continuous &#8216;brain activity&#8217; of the Audi Q6 e-tron perceptible, generating an optical effect inspired by perpetual rear light clusters communicate with their surroundings in a targeted manner using Car-to-X interaction. Compared to the first generation, the number of light segments per core is increased from 6 to 60, making a total of 360 segments spread over 6 panels. The exponential increase in segments will make it possible, in future, to transform the rear light clusters into true displays for dialogue with the outside world. No less innovative is the approach to the front section of the car. The daytime running lights and light modules are separate.
