The third generation of the 3008, which debuts in the 100% electric version, opens a new phase for Peugeot, but it is not yet a revolution: it brings to the debut one of the new Stellantis platforms, the STLA Medium intended for C-D segment (not exclusively electric, the 3008 itself also offers a hybrid petrol engine), and several new features. Really, new 3008 it is not a breaking model but rather an evolution consistent with the history of a brand that has always held much to its tradition.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

As we were able to appreciate during the first test drive, the tangible proof of all this is precisely the design: the shapes evolve towards an SUV-Coup\u00e9 physiognomy, taking care however to maintain accessibility and space also for the rear passengers, with a slightly sloping roof which suddenly changes angle at the rear window to join with a very short and compact “tail”, with a vertical cut accentuated by the reduced overhangs and the wheelbase of 2.74 meters over a total length of 4.54 metres.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The “suspended” spoiler and the window seals hidden in the profiles are impressive, giving impetus and cleanliness, especially on the GT versions which have a contrasting roof and Glossy Black finishes, while 19″ and 20″ wheels with aerodynamic design are available for the entire range. The lines, especially those of the front, still develop the solutions shown by the previous generation, such as the digital effect grille and the “three claws” light signature which on the GTs takes on a three-dimensional effect.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The interiors have also been developed partially in the name of tradition. On the one hand we have the latest evolution of the i-Cockpit, now “Panoramic” which extends from the driving seat to the center of the large backlit dashboard for a 21″ curved surface that merges instrumentation and infotainment. On the other hand, it retains numerous physical controls, from the windows to the switches to control the gearbox, travel programs and electromechanical parking brake, postponing total digitalisation to the next generations.\u00a0<\/span>When driving, the ground clearance and the high floor, which hides the batteries, accentuate the SUV effect, but with the sportiest steering and propulsion settings, the e-3008 grants brilliance and a fair amount of precision.
