Ferrari has unveiled the first images of the interior of Luce, the first electric car in its history. According to the company, Luce combines Ferrari’s racing heritage, the timeless spirit of its sports cars, and the ever-evolving reality of contemporary lifestyles, demonstrating Ferrari’s ongoing ambition to exceed expectations, imagine the future, and dare to be bold. The presentation event was organized in San Francisco by Ferrari in collaboration with LoveFrom, a creative collective founded by designers Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson, which has been working on all aspects of the new car’s design for five years. The team focused on perfecting and refining each solution in its purest form and then, during the development phase, LoveFrom worked with the Ferrari Style Center led by Flavio Manzoni, developing the concept in line with its original intent and ensuring that every solution was in line with the functional targets of the Prancing Horse, the architectural constraints, and the homologation requirements of a mass-produced road sports car.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The cabin is a single, clean space with simplified, streamlined shapes designed to enhance the driving experience and create a calm, functional, and spacious environment. The hardware and software were developed in unison, resulting in a harmonious physical architecture and interface between driver and car. Essential elements such as the binnacle, control panel, and center tunnel are autonomous and clearly organized around the concept of input (controls) and output (display). The screen in the center of the dashboard is minimalist in style and has an aluminum handle at the base to rest your hand on while selecting controls.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Each component has been studied and designed with the same attention and precision, to offer sober and efficient functionality. Everything integrates perfectly, forming a unified aesthetic and functional whole, which preserves intact and indeed intensifies the unique emotion of driving a Ferrari. Even the production processes have been carefully evaluated, applying cutting-edge production technologies to ensure that each material is presented in its most noble form. The result is modern and timeless, with materials that are not only luxurious but exquisitely authentic, demonstrating Ferrari’s commitment to quality, innovation, and the timeless value of craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The materials were chosen for their strength and durability. The designers opted for aluminum because of its suitability for precision machining, creating engineered components that enhance its quality and beauty. The aluminum alloy, which is 100% recycled, is carefully milled from solid using 3- or 5-axis CNC technology and then subjected to a state-of-the-art anodizing process. The treatment creates an ultra-thin hexagonal cell microstructure on the surface, ensuring exceptional strength and hardness and a refined micro-texture. The result is a richly colored, durable finish that remains vibrant over time.
