Arrigo Gallizio, car designer and mountain guide, has passed away yesterday in his mountain home in La Saxe, Courmayeur. Gallizio was born in Garessio and was a great friend of Giorgetto Giugiaro. They worked together for many years in Italdesign. In 2007 he was nominated President of Società Guide Alpine of Courmayeur. In 1998 he founded with Giorgetto Giugiaro a model school in Garessio, moved in 2001 to Savigliano for logistic reasons. Today is the CEMI, European Industrial Modeling Center. Since its founding, the Model Center hosted fifteen editions of the annual course for Technical Industrial Model and with the help of public funding were trained hundreds of boys and girls who in ninety percent of cases have found a job.
