Tesla announces the opening of a new design center in China dedicated to research and development of new products. The American electric car manufacturer after opening the Gigafactory in Shanghai has published the announcement for hiring new staff on its WeChat profile – a Chinese social network and instant messaging application.
The company also published the first sketch of a new model that could be built in China and dedicated to the global market. The published sketch shows a vehicle with monovolume architecture and typical Tesla styling, appearing more compact than current models. The showy wheel arches and strong skirts foreshadow a sporty character of the model.
