Giorgetto Giugiaro has been appointed President and Master of the Transportation Design Department of IAAD, the Institute of Applied Arts and Design in Turin.
“I never had the time to dedicate to students, which would be something of a luxury in a profession like mine. But the time has come to try and pass on my vision of design, just as it was when I first embarked on this road. A good designer must not only be good at drawing sketches, he needs a more functional, logical and mathematical approach too. He has to have the finished vehicle in his mind”, says Giorgetto Giugiaro, talking to IAAD director Laura Milani.
“Giorgetto Giugiaro Master of Transportation is a huge opportunity for our students and for Turin. Giugiaro’s vision has written the history of car design and has evolved in a quite unique way. It is a real privilege to have him with us and we will not disappoint his expectations”, concludes Laura Milani.
