Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro will be presenting a new concept car at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. According to Automotive News Europe, GFG Style is working with a Chinese partner on a four-seater luxury saloon of the same dimensions as the Tesla Model S. The designers have not provided images of the car’s interior and exterior styling, but have revealed that the front door opening system is inspired by the 1963 Chevrolet Testudo, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at the age of 24 when he was still working for Bertone.
The interiors of the new prototype, which will celebrate the Italian designer’s 66th presentation at the Geneva Show, will be marked by total ergonomics. The centre console will accommodate a tablet that can rotate and move forward or backward towards the driver or passenger for optimum convenience. This future concept will be the second project presented by GFG Style in Geneva. In fact last year Giugiaro did the styling for the Ren, a 1287 bhp sports car from the Chinese brand Techrules (design story in Auto&Design n. 223).
