The Hyundai Kite will be unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show 2018. The concept car, developed by the students of Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin is born by the collaboration between the Master in Transportation Design and European Design Center Hyundai. The Hyundai Kite is a two-seat buggy, characterised by light shapes, brush-less electrical propulsion and by the absence of ceiling and doors: with no barriers between the interiors and the exteriors, theconcept car overcomes the idea of a vehicle moving on the road and on the water and becomes a “place” meant for the user experience.
On the occasion of the upcoming Geneva Motorshow -for the first time ever- IED presents a prototype with the interiors. Remarkable is the gearbox realised in partnership with Gruppo Sila, while the seats and the belts are the outcome of a collaboration with Sabelt. Gruppo Sila is also partner for another project involving the students of the IED Turin’s Product Design and Transportation Design programs who designed other two proposals of full by-wire gearbox, exhibited in a dedicated space of the stand. Moreover, the audience will have the chance to experience the concept car through virtual reality thanks to a project carried out in collaboration with Protocube Reply.
