Icona Design Group, an Italian global design company, will participate in the Smart Travel and New Energy Professional Committee, the new cooperation platform between companies promoted by the Ministry of Transport of China with the aim of fostering political and commercial exchanges and implementing the organisation of the CIIE – China International Import Expo, the most important exhibition event in China, which will take place this year from 5 to 10 November in Shanghai. The Italian design house will work with important players on the world technological and automotive scene: Michelin, Volkswagen, Bosch, Qualcomm, Hyundai Mobis, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Toyota, Volvo, TuSimple, Hong Kong Fuel Cell, HRC.
Present in China for over ten years with an operational office in Shanghai, Icona is embedded in the local productive and social fabric and has contributed to bringing Italian style to the Chinese automotive sector. The Committee will have the task of intercepting and guiding trends in industrial development, supporting innovation through knowledge and the exchange of products, technologies and services between the participating companies and the main authorities of the industrial sector, in order to promote new forms of investment and cooperation; monitoring and fostering a timely understanding of the main changes and policies in the sector; providing concrete support to Chinese economic and commercial development through projects of openness and transnational cooperation; optimising the local entrepreneurial habitat for foreign companies.
