Foxconn unveiled for the first time three independently developed electric vehicles: the Model E sedan developed in collaboration with Pininfarina, the Model C and the Model T electric bus. The Model E, jointly created by Hon Hai and Italian design firm Pininfarina, is a technologically innovative luxury sedan that meets the needs of middle- to high-end consumers. The rear seat space can be transformed into a dedicated mobile office, with personal mobile devices seamlessly connected to the car, enabling a range of smart applications such as facial recognition door opening, smart windows and vehicle and environment interfaces.

In addition to luxury and comfort, the Model E, with high performance and advanced dynamic control technology, delivers approximately 750 horsepower and achieves 0-60 mile acceleration in just 2.8 seconds, better than comparable models on the market. The Model E also has a range of 750 km to address the range anxiety of most electric car users.

The Model E was built entirely in Pininfarina’s Cambiano atelier, where over the years unique models, small series, showcars and prototypes have been built by a highly skilled team for the most prestigious automotive brands. “Our design team has been responsible for defining the styling of both the exterior and interior of the Model E, including the experience the user will have inside the car. One of the key features is the intelligent surfaces on the front, side and rear of the vehicle that demonstrate how the vehicle communicates with the outside world,” explains Kevin Rice, Chief Creative Officer at Pininfarina.
