A new engineering and design center in Berlin will be one of the focal points of Bugatti Rimac’s future. Achim Anscheidt, formerly head of Bugatti design and recently appointed Design Director of Bugatti Rimac, will work side-by-side with Chief Technology Officer Emilio Scervo between Berlin and Zagreb to develop the next generation of Bugatti and Rimac hypercars. The new Berlin hub will operate under a new German subsidiary, Bugatti Rimac GmbH, and will house not only the design and engineering teams, but also the Procurement, Finance, Program Management, IT, Legal and Marketing departments.
For decades, Berlin has thrived as a city that nurtures startups and rewards quirky ideas. To this day, it remains an epicenter for artists and designers, as well as startups and tech incubators. “With the opening of our new office in Berlin, we are preparing to evolve this story into innovative new horizons, with a new design direction that reflects the cutting-edge electrification technology launched by Rimac Group. For us, it is of the utmost importance to preserve the styling DNA of a Bugatti, yet our defining design identity continues to be authenticated through form that follows performance,” said Achim Anscheidt.
