Kia and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana are the organizers of the Kia Designers Award, an award for emerging brands and Italian and Korean students from fashion schools all over the world that aims at enhancing and promoting the synergy between Italy and Korea.
Creativity, quality, innovation and design are the values that guide a special international technical jury that is selecting six finalists in these days: three Italians and three Koreans, who will have the opportunity to work in pairs to promote cultural and creative exchange in order to create three capsule collections, each consisting of three items. The capsules will be presented at the Fashion Hub of Camera della Moda during the Milan Fashion Week in September 2022, when the winning couple will be announced.
The jury is made up of technical personalities from various sectors, from automotive to publishing, from design to fashion. The eight jurors in charge of selecting the finalists are: Silvia Baruffaldi (editor in chief of Auto&Design), Giuseppe Angiolini (artist and talent scout), Chiara Bottoni (editor-in-chief of MF Fashion), Gianluca Cantaro (independent fashion journalist and critic), Fabiana Giacomotti (writer and curator), Lee Hyeju (Editor in Chief and Vice President W Korea), Giuseppe Mazzara, Marketing Communication & PR Director of Kia Italia and Annagreta Panconesi, Creative Director Luisaviaroma.
