Italdesign expands in China. The Volkswagen Group’s styling and engineering company announces the start of operations at the Aurora Plaza Tower in Shanghai’s Pudong district. Styling will be one of the most important services provided by the company in China and José Navarro, currently head of design at Italdesign Barcelona, will be the new head of design at Italdesign China.
“As a team, we are very well prepared to face the challenges and seize the enormous opportunities that the Chinese market can offer. We have an ambitious development plan and we want to meet and follow the demands of our customers and partners as well as all newcomers directly on site, adding our value,’ said Navarro. Li Yang, currently in charge of Italdesign’s business development in China, has been appointed general manager of Italdesign China, while Antonio Casu, managing director of Italdesign, has been appointed president of the Chinese subsidiary.
