Swedish electric motorbike manufacturer Cake has unveiled the Bukk, a new off-road model that will initially only come in a limited edition of up to 50 units and is designed for use on and off the track. The Bukk creates a new category of medium-heavy (cat A2) motorbikes within the Cake range and underlines the brand’s commitment to accelerating the transition to a zero-emission society. The name Bukk means ‘Thundercloud’ in the ancient language of the island of Gotland, Cake’s test bed and the inspiration for the naming of all its products.
Weighing 80 kilograms, the Bukk offers a minimalist design and a power-to-weight ratio at the top of its class. The frame, its geometry, suspension and components are new and unprecedented, made of the lightest alloys, ushering in a new category of high-performance motorbikes. The transmission with 72 V battery and 16 kW motor delivers 420 Nm of torque for a top speed of over 100 km/h. Together with the tuned WP and Öhlins suspension, the Bukk offers style, agility and control, and does all this in complete silence and without polluting nature either in the mountains or on the track.
