Icona Design Group lands in New Zealand. The global design company, born in Turin but with offices already established in Los Angeles, Shanghai and Tokyo, has chosen Wellington as its fifth international headquarters. Leading the new Icona Design Group team in New Zealand will be 35-year-old Anton Garland, Senior Design Manager of Production and New Mobility. With the opening, the Turin-based style company also announces a new partnership with Massey University. Icona’s new headquarters, which includes not only offices but also a Design Academy, is in fact located inside the historic Dominion Museum building, which is part of the lush campus of Massey University College of Creative Arts, New Zealand’s leading design school.

According to the partnership with Massey University College of Creative Arts, Icona Design Group aspires to make a strong contribution to the future of design in New Zealand by supporting new talent at what is considered to be the best design school in the country and helping them launch a professional career through teaching, mentoring and the opportunity to work on real projects.
