The new Skoda small electric Suv will be called Epiq and it will debut in 2025. With a length of 4.1 metres, it will feature a spacious interior and a load capacity of up to 490 litres. The vehicle will fully incorporate the new Modern Solid design language – powerful, functional and authentic, both inside and out. This will be complemented by a brand new digital experience, with new technologies and assistance functions. “The new design language – Modern Solid – represents our next level of modernity. Intelligent functionality and practicality are harmoniously balanced by an attractive new look and our approach to sustainability. The Škoda Epiq design studio perfectly embodies all the key attributes of the new design language,” says Oliver Stefani, Head of Škoda Design.
The new Modern Solid design language combines robust appearance, functionality and authenticity. The Škoda Epiq design studio presents a sculpted bonnet with the new Škoda branding. The Tech-Deck Face in glossy black is a modern reinterpretation of the familiar Škoda grille and houses electronic devices such as the distance radar and front camera. The Tech-Deck Face is flanked by bi-functional T-shaped LED elements for daytime running lights and indicators. The front headlights are located in a lower secondary position. Their light modules have a facetted design and are equipped with Matrix LED technology. The robust front bumper features a spoiler painted in Unique Dark Chrome. The side view is characterised by a high, wide tornado line that visually separates the glazing from the rest of the body and emphasises the car’s powerful shoulders. The wheel arches feature innovative cladding and accommodate aerodynamically optimised wheels. The low, slightly sloping roofline merges with the roof spoiler for optimal aerodynamic efficiency.
The Škoda Epiq will be the first production vehicle to feature a minimalist Modern Solid interior focused on durable, practical and sustainable materials. It has an open stowage compartment that includes a wireless mobile phone charger in the floating centre console and Simply Clever compartments to offer more stowage opportunities. The luggage compartment benefits from some of the brand’s Simply Clever details, such as bag hooks, load hooks and a hidden compartment under the floor. The two-spoke steering wheel features new Škoda lettering, physical buttons and tactile scroll wheels with orange accents to control key functions while driving. The ‘mobile digital key’ allows a wide range of interactions, enhancing the digital experience.
