After making a name for itself as the first brand to take part in the Dakar with an electric motorcycle, Tacita presents an all-new line-up on the battery-powered two-wheeler market for 2024, consisting of five models designed for both road and off-road, divided into two families: T-Cruise and T-Race. The first includes the Urban and the Turismo, two bikes designed for off-road rides, the second includes the Motorally, the Enduro and the Motard. The latter two focus heavily on substance, leaving less room for style in favor of more functional forms, while Motorally, Urban and Turismo have in design one of their strong points. In fact, all three make extensive use of an extremely lightweight composite for the fairings: it fuses carbon and ballistic Kevlar for a thickness of just 0.7 mm.
Tacita engineers have developed a special paint system that allows the different components of the bike to be colored while leaving the texture of the material visible. On all of them, moreover, the shape of the fairing recalls the brand’s logo. Specifically, Motorally refers in style to the shapes of motorcycles that run the legendary African raids: high and narrow saddle and high fairings to give protection to the rider even at high speeds. More refined instead are the Urban and Turismo. Both are inspired by the world of custom bikes – with high handlebars and a low saddle – and reinterpret it in an electric key, with some very special touches.
The batteries, for example, in order to be less “obtrusive” from an aesthetic point of view, are placed partly inside the side bags (inside which there is still room to store other items). The tank, on the other hand, features a special insert that fully expresses the “home made” spirit of the model.
All Tacita motorcycles are made in Italy, entirely inside the company’s factory near Turin, including the interchangeable batteries. The only item purchased externally are the battery cells. From a technical point of view, the T-Cruise models have a battery that goes up to 27 kWh capacity, for a range of up to 300 km, while Enduro and Motard have a 9 kWh battery that becomes 13 kWh on the Motorally.
