To celebrate the indissoluble bond between the global brand Alfa Romeo and Nicola Larini, 1993 DTM champion with Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI, the Heritage department of Stellantis (Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Abarth) has conceived and developed the 4C – Collezione GT “Nicola Larini” project, which will create three unique examples based on the supercar that brought the Biscione brand back to the United States in 2014. The choice to realise this tribute with the 4C is not random. In fact, Nicola Larini has always expressed great admiration for this car, recognising qualities that only a professional driver can fully appreciate, such as lightness, speed, responsiveness and road holding.
Created as part of Stellantis Heritage’s ‘Reloaded by Creators’ programme, the three exclusive 4C ‘Nicola Larini’ cars are the result of the transformation of existing cars. In this specific case, a decisive role is played by the three eye-catching liveries, one for each car, which the Tuscan driver selected together with Stellantis Heritage and the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, and which pay homage to the Italian brand’s traditional boldness in choosing distinctive colours with a strong personality. In fact, taking inspiration from the original liveries of the iconic Giulia GT of the 1960s, the three shades chosen for the 4C – GT ‘Nicola Larini’ Collection are Pine Green, Plum Red and Ochre Yellow, all accentuated by white inserts on the front and rear tail.
‘Together with Nicola we chose Pine Green, Plum Red and Ochre Yellow, three colours that characterised the Giulia GT and GTV of the 1970s, which are therefore part of Alfa Romeo history and which we are going to revisit slightly to make them more compatible with the body of the 4C. Furthermore, referring to its world, which is that of racing, we have worked on the graphic aspect, creating a specific livery for each model,” said Alessandro Maccolini, Chef de Gamme at Alfa Romeo. Three lively, sparkling colours, therefore, that emphasise the sculptural forms of the Alfa Romeo supercar. All made even more precious by the signature of Nicola Larini positioned on the bonnet, together with the brand logo, to seal a union destined to remain in history, and by the imposing alloy wheels painted in a colour coordinated with the livery of the car.
