Renault will display the Twingo E-Tech Electric Prototype showcar on its stand at the Paris Motor Show 2024, from 14 to 20 October. Reviving the spirit of the first generation, the Twingo E-Tech Electric Prototype is now designed as a 100% electric city car. Original and ingenious, it responds to the challenges of our times and creates the unexpected, recalling the soul of the original Twingo with its minimalist MPV profile, round headlights, agility and great sympathy.

The model has five doors, while the MPV profile, topped by a fixed panoramic roof, provides occupants with a spacious and bright interior in line with the voiture à vivre philosophy. Although reminiscent of the design of the original Twingo designed by Patrick Le Quément in the early 1990s, the rear end acquires more modernity thanks to a rear window enriched with a black frame. Repeating the same shape as the headlights, the external rear lights give a ‘tech’ touch, to which is added the lively Twingo lettering in the centre of the boot lid.

The light clusters contribute to the eye-catching character of the model. Emerging from the bodywork, they give it a touch of originality and technological modernity. Along the sides, where the two doors join, is the legendary circular handle of the 1992 ancestor, this time emphasised by a luminous line. If three small openings can still be found on the bonnet, they are no longer dedicated to engine ventilation. There is no longer any need for them on this future 100% electric city car. This aesthetic detail is a clear nod to its origins.
