Polestar has announced the winner of the Design Contest 2024. This year’s contest, organised in collaboration with Hot Wheels, invited entrants to submit designs in 1:64 scale, the classic scale of the brand’s models, and inspired by Polestar’s design language. First prize went to Shashank Shekhar, a professional designer from India, for his Polestar TRX project. The concept, with its exaggerated proportions and elegant surfaces, presents a bold interpretation of Polestar’s usually minimalist design philosophy. It will be the first Polestar vehicle to be included in the Hot Wheels toy range and will arrive in summer 2025.

“Cyber Shaker” , Powei Chen (second place)

Italian Powei Chen won second prize for his colourful ‘Cyber Shaker’, a model that winks at both the past and the present with its eye-catching cyberpunk design. Honourable mention went to Roman Moor’s Le Mans model from Germany for his ‘Polestar Track Toy’ concept, which impressed the panel of four judges that included representatives from Polestar and Mattel.
