Honda unveiled a world premiere at Ces 2025 of two 0 Series prototypes that will be introduced to global markets from 2026: Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 Suv. The Tokyo-based company also unveiled Asimo OS, the original operating system (OS) that will be applied to the new range of electric vehicles. The Honda 0 Saloon, coming to market in 2026, is an evolution of the concept presented last year. While retaining the same design, the Saloon prototype features a reduced height and sporty styling, allowing it to stand out from other electric vehicles, plenty of space inside, contrary to what one would expect from its size.
The Saloon, the reference model of the 0 Series, will be based on the new EV architecture developed by Honda and will be equipped with a number of innovative technologies that embody the development approach based on the concepts: ‘Compact, Light and Smart’. At CesS 2025, Honda had the opportunity to introduce a number of technologies and features that contribute to the ‘Intelligent’ concept applied to the Honda 0 Saloon. These include the highly reliable Level 3 automated driving, introduced for the first time by Honda, and the ‘ultra-personal optimisation’ that, thanks to the new ASIMO OS operating system, will offer a personalised mobility experience for each user.
The second model Honda brought to CES 2025 was the 0 Suv, a prototype of a mid-size electric SUV, which will be the first model of the new 0 Series. By applying the ‘Compact, Light and Smart’ approach to an SUV, it has been possible to increase interior space and achieve a spacious cabin with an extended field of vision. In addition to the range of next-generation technologies, the vehicle will feature high-precision attitude estimation and stability control based on 3D gyroscopic sensors, the same ones Honda developed during the development of its robotic technologies, to ensure smooth and enjoyable driving dynamics on all road surfaces.
The series model is expected to be introduced in the first half of 2026, initially in the North American market and then globally, including Japan and Europe. The Honda 0 Series models will be equipped with ASIMO OS, a vehicle operating system developed directly by Honda, which will be the starting technology on which to develop the ‘Intelligent’ concept underpinning the new electric vehicle range.
