At the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show, Citroën is confirming its worldwide offensive in the SUV segment with the presentation of two new models. The new C5 Aircross, making its world debut, will be on display alongside C-Aircross Concept that previews the compact SUV of the brand set for imminent launch in Europe: C3 Aircross. Directly inspired by the Aircross concept car presented in 2015, the new C5 Aircross is a people-minded SUV combining assertive design with an interior dedicated to well-being for all passengers.
The new model stands apart naturally through its unique attitude, full of energy and assurance. Remarkably spacious for all occupants, it harnesses the finest technology to bring drivers an easier and safer drive and takes a modern and overarching approach to comfort. The C5 Aircross marks a major step forward in the Citroën Advanced Comfort programme with the world debut of a suspension system equipped with progressive hydraulic cushions, featuring singular suspension settings unique to the Citroën brand. The technology will be illustrated on the stand by a demonstrator showing how the system filters out any and all road imperfections. Set for launch in second-half 2017 in China and late 2018 in Europe, the new C5 Aircross marks Citroën’s global offensive in the SUV segment.
