MATERIALS AND MAT SURFACES FOR A REFINED, MODERN ENVIRONMENT
Precision, discreet luxury, fine virtuosity in design and assembly. The Arteon adds a further attribute to the traditional fascination of Volkswagen cockpits: sportiness measured in different clean but intriguing visual solutions. Not coincidentally, the colour and trim function has indulged in dark shades and high-performing materials (such as the optional perforated leather, which evokes the world of car racing), without stumbling into choices with a markedly technical or aggressive impact.
A ribbon pattern runs along the dashboard and on the door panels. Depending on the version, this may be lined with a dark wood Birch Line or a Silver Rise aluminium trim, echoing in part the refined, graphic accents of the light Cherry wood-like essence of the Sport Coupé Concept GTE of 2015. The seats are upholstered in two-tone nappa leather with contrast stitching, fabric or leather and Alcantara (the latter also adopted for ecological reasons). The atmosphere gravitates around feistily masculine shades of black and grey, light or dark. But really enhancing the interior of the Arteon, designed by Tomasz Bachorski and his team, is the refinement of the details: like the diagonal alignment between the veins of the wood and the aluminium framing. #Arteon @Volkswagen
