Ford unveils the Bronco 2021, the hard and pure off-road that will be declined in three body variants: three-door, Sport and five-door. The new Bronco returns to the scene with a square line typical of the most performing 4x4s, whose production will start at the beginning of 2021 and the first models will arrive at Ford dealerships next spring (no direct sales in Europe). It will also be possible to choose from a wide range of over 200 factory accessories for maximum customisation. In addition to these, dealers will be able to supply specific equipment on request according to customer requirements.
The Ford style centre has given the Bronco an appearance reminiscent of the design of the first series produced from 1966 to 1977. “We digitally scanned an original Bronco and started from there. The new model has all the features of the first generation: the square proportions, short overhangs and impressive road presence have been further optimized to offer a greater off-road experience,” said Paul Wraith, the project manager. “The side profile features a flat, edge-free surface with clean edges and strong, flared fenders. The new Bronco has a high-strength steel frame that offers the best suspension travel in its class.
The interior also incorporates classic styling elements. The instrument panel, for example, is inspired by the first generation model with clearly visible and intuitive indicators and controls. Materials and upholstery, available in various colours and combinations, are robust and durable. Integrated in the centre of the dashboard is the large 12-inch square display from which the Sync4 infotainment system can be controlled. The device is networked and enjoys “over the air” updates. For off-road enthusiasts there is the FordPass Performance app with off-road navigation module that allows them to plan and share their off-road routes creating a real community.
