The American manufacturer GMC of the General Motors group has unveiled the electric Hummer. The model is the brand’s first fully electric car and has been designed with lines strongly inspired by the original Hummer of the 2000s, characterised by square shapes, a large chrome grille with seven slits and slim full-Led headlights developed on a horizontal plane. The first electric Hummer unveiled is the pickup version, while between 2021 and 2022 the more traditional Suv architecture will also arrive.
“This model marks an important step towards an electric future,” said Mark Reuss, president of General Motors. “Thanks to our new Ultium Drive architecture, this vehicle adapts to the needs of a wide range of customers and manages to combine performance and zero emissions. The battery pack positioned along the entire platform allows the Hummer to travel 560 kilometres at full power and the electric motors have a power output of 1,000 horsepower.
The strong, clean lines of the exterior can be found in the interior, which is made of strong, solid materials and coatings. Inside, the digital revolution has arrived thanks to two large displays that dominate the scene. The first is positioned in front of the driver and transmits the digital instrumentation, while the second, floating in the centre of the dashboard, controls all the functions of the infotainment system.
