Two projects designed for zero-emission urban mobility. Hong Kong style centre One Object has created an electric scooter and an electric scooter (called Alpha and Beta) to bring about a revolution in personal urban transport, imagining it as “human” and sustainable in the near future. “The inspiration comes from observing people’s daily urban commuting and how they interact with technology. We see the Nebula as an extension of the human body that allows us to be freer, faster and more agile to go wherever we want,” says Evan Ma, Nebula’s head of design.

The Nebula’s outer body is made of recycled polypropylene to provide structure and rigidity while accommodating the tail light and front headlamp. The upholstery of the interior is composed of 3D-printed textile materials: they are water-repellent and resist dirt, resulting in a seamless and durable surface that provides the user with a sense of comfort and security.

The designers have also paid attention to the tech side of the two vehicles, which have inherited several technological devices from the car world. The Alpha can count on a Head Up Display that transmits various information to the driver on a lens and on a number of sensors positioned at the front and rear that detect people and obstacles. Finally, the two vehicles can be unlocked without a key by means of a fingerprint.
