Icona Design Group took part in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, the fair organized by the Chinese central government to facilitate the import of products from abroad and promote collaboration between Chinese and international companies, this year at its fifth edition.
On this occasion, the design house presented the project for the interiors of the Hyperloop, the rocket for high-speed transport of goods and passengers inside low-pressure tubes in which the capsules are pushed by linear induction motors and air compressors. The project is from Hyperloop Transportation Technologies the leading developer of the next generation of sustainable high-speed transportation. “Icona Design Group’s strategy is to be at the forefront of innovation and to establish alliances with the most technologically advanced companies. Collaborating with a visionary company like Hyperloop is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Teresio Gigi Gaudio, president and ceo of Icona Design Group.
In addition to the Hyperloop cabin, Icona exhibited at the CIIE the high-performance wireless charging technology developed with Reasonance: a system designed to allow self-driving vehicles to recharge without human intervention. With Store.H Icona has designed and built an electric scooter which, thanks to a hydrogen cartridge, reaches an autonomy of 100 km, while Pix Moving is an autonomous vehicle which, equipped with a touch screen monitor, can move around the city providing information or be used for advertising purposes.
