Polestar has revealed the first image of the Polestar 5, an electric four-door coupe and production version of the Precept concept car presented in 2020. The image of the model appeared during an episode of the “From Concept to Car” series produced by Polestar to explain the steps involved in creating a production model, in this case the 5, starting from and sticking as closely as possible to the prototype.
“In designing a car, my inspiration comes from the products that surround us every day. From a radio to a particularly beautiful building, from an airplane to a sculpture: everything can be a source of reflection and inspire shapes,” says Nahum Escobedo, Polestar Exterior Design Manager. The images of the car shown in the video show how faithful it has remained to the concept car thanks to a few sharp general lines that result in clean surfaces. On the production version, the Led line of the headlamps has been maintained, an element of particular effect that crosses the Polestar 5 in all its width.
