Dacia has not only evolved its logo design. The company is renewing its whole image in order to find a new positioning on the market. The idea is to move from a “low cost” brand to a brand focused on “value for money”, in which everything still revolves around the concept of paying the right price for the offered content, but increasingly without waivers. It is a necessary step to take in order to face a future in which other players (many of them from China) will appear on the market.
The Dacia Duster Extreme was created with this concept in mind. It is a limited edition based on one of the brand’s most iconic models, accounting for 260,000 units sold in Italy since 2010 and over 2 million throughout Europe.
The Duster Extreme can be recognized at first glance by a series of dedicated details such as the orange inserts on the front grill, rearview mirrors, roof bars and tailgate, and the glossy black alloy wheels with specific design.
Inside, orange is again the color that distinguishes this “Extreme” from the other versions. It is used on the air conditioning vents, the front armrest, the central tunnel and the interior door trim. The car, which is based on the Prestige trim and is at the top of the range, completes its equipment with fabric-covered seats, automatic climate control, infotainment with 8″ touchscreen and 2 Usbs, Multiview Camera system and Keyless Entry.
The Duster Extreme is available in six body colors: in addition to the already available Ice White, Comet Grey, Nacré Black, Iron Blue and Arizona Orange there is a brand new Road Grey that is offered only on this special edition, which is available with either the 1.5 turbo-diesel with 115 HP (2 or 4-wheel drive) or the 1.3 turbo-petrol with 150 HP or the 1.0 LPG with 100 HP (the latter two exclusively with front-wheel drive).
