At the Paris Motor Show 2022, Wey, a brand of the Chinese Great Wall group, brought the Coffee 01, a plug-in hybrid SUV with premium aspirations. To focus on quality, the Chinese manufacturer decided to entrust the upholstery of its interior to Alcantara. The central seat is in perforated Alcantara, which guarantees optimal thermal comfort at all times thanks to its breathability that keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter. The side panels and the upper part of the seat have an elegant workmanship that is reminiscent of Capitonné and defines the contours of a pleasant ambience: almost a protective shell that invites relaxation on long journeys.
The door interior also features the same stitched diamond pattern and matches the other materials lining the interior. The Wey Coffee 01 is a crossover equipped with second-level assisted driving, 5G connectivity and V2X communication system to interact with its surroundings. At 4.87 metres long, 1.96 metres wide and 1.69 metres high, the Coffee 01 is a plug-in hybrid with a large battery (41.8 kilowatt-hours) that reportedly allows it to travel 150 kilometres with zero emissions.
