The exhibition ‘The Italians’ touch’ conceived by BMW Italia in collaboration with the classic car department of the German premium manufacturer was inaugurated at the House of BMW in Via Verri 10, Milan. The exhibition is a tribute to the Italians who have contributed, and still contribute, to the company’s history and a moment of inspiration for future challenges. The exhibition will be open to the public until 2 January 2023.

Renzo Vitale and Giorgetto Giugiaro

It is a journey that is meant to be a tribute to the Italians who have played and still play an important role in BMW’s history. There are the masters of design and style, from Giugiaro to Michelotti, Bertone to Gandini, Frua to Touring and Rivolta, but also an acknowledgement of the drivers and champions who have made certain competitions legendary: Roberto Ravaglia, Pierluigi Martini and Riccardo Patrese. And a special thought goes to Alex Zanardi, the group’s global brand ambassador.

There are many Italian talents who have made a difference in communicating the values of the brand, helping to make it a leader in the premium segment, from the creatives Gianpietro Vigorelli and Federico Brugia, to the artist Sandro Chia, to Renzo Vitale, Creative Sound Director of the BMW Group, who composes the sounds and soundtracks of electric cars, to those who promote and implement the company’s social responsibility initiatives and projects, such as Milena Pighi. The history, the present and the future.
