Lamborghini presents the Huracán Sterrato at Art Basel in Miami Beach, the first super sports car designed to offer maximum driving pleasure even when the asphalt ends, reinterpreting the very concept of sportiness and underlining the brand’s values. It’s exciting to see how Lamborghini Design can be perfectly matched even with unusual shapes,” comments Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini Head of Design. “The design of the Sterrato translates our super sports car tradition into a new stylistic language with the precise intention of creating a unique and enjoyable driving experience.
At first glance, the exterior expresses the adventurous character of the Huracán Sterrato. The ground clearance has been increased by 44 mm compared to the Huracán Evo to provide greater suspension travel, as has the width of the front (+30 mm) and rear (+34 mm) track widths. Furthermore, the aluminium front underbody protection, reinforced sills, rear diffuser and robust wheel arches not only protect the body but also emphasise its muscularity. In the same way, the typically designed air intake on the rear bonnet not only enhances the sporty spirit of the model, but also supplies the engine with clean air when driving on dusty roads.
The interior, characterised by the exclusive Verde Sterrato Alcantara upholstery, reflects the ‘feel like a pilot’ philosophy that has always been adopted on the Huracán line, which places the driver at the centre of the cockpit for the maximum driving experience and absolute control of all the car’s functions. The HMI interface features new graphics and functions dedicated to off-road driving; on the instrument side, a digital inclinometer with pitch and roll indicator to measure the car’s inclination angles, compass, geographical coordinates indicator and steering angle indicator make their debut.
