Functional but also luxurious. With the Platinum trim, Ford has enhanced the Ranger pickup with new premium trim and equipment. European orders for the Ranger Platinum are already open, while production is scheduled to start in March, with the first deliveries to customers starting in late spring. Available exclusively in a five-seat, double-cab version, the Ford Ranger Platinum is powered by a 3.0 turbodiesel V6 for refined performance and a generous payload of more than one tonne.

The exterior has the typical muscular and functional styling of the Ranger family, but focuses on greater refinement. The new grille and various chrome finishes contribute to a striking first impression, which is supported by the 20-inch machined-surface alloy wheels with polished ebony detailing. The tailgate has on this version a soft closing mechanism, tinted windows and daytime running lights inside the LED headlights. The standard roof bars contribute to a strong look and more practicality.

Inside, all the materials have changed. The seats are in perforated leather with contrast stitching while driver and passenger benefit from electric seat adjustment, heating and cooling. The open-grain dark maple wood texture enhances the premium feel as does the interior lighting. Infotainment is controlled from two large 12-inch screens: a digital cluster replaces the traditional instrumentation and a vertical touchscreen gives access to all telematics functions. The Ranger Platinum is also equipped with an eight-speaker Bang&Olufsen audio system.
