The new Jeep Grand Cherokee made its road debut in Malaga, Spain. The American manufacturer’s flagship is completely new and, in Europe, only available with a plug-in hybrid engine. The flexibility of the new architecture allowed the designers to build it in two configurations with different lengths and wheelbases. The sculpted exterior lines give it a distinctive modern look, while the low roof profile improves aerodynamics and efficiency without sacrificing cargo space. Eugenio Sellaro Neto, Exterior design manager for the Jeep brand in July 2021, told us the design secrets of the new Grand Cherokee in a video interview.
The low beltline and large windows, on the other hand, brighten up the cabin and provide greater visibility. The iconic seven-slot grille is wider and larger, and the new front fascia incorporates radar and other advanced features. The bold, elongated bonnet profile lends visual strength while the aerodynamic body line offers flexible design and luxury trim.
The luxurious interior of the new-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee has evolved further and boasts quality materials and modern features designed to enhance passenger comfort. The front fascia features new, slimmer climate control system vents, a new centre console and 10.1-inch screens (i.e. digital instrument cluster and touchscreen radio), as well as an exclusive 10.25-inch interactive display for the front passenger and a new high-definition entertainment system for rear seat passengers.
