On the occasion of the celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the Mauto in Turin, IED has opened its “garage” hosting all the concept cars created over a twenty-year period by the students of the various editions of the Master’s course in Transportation Design.
15 1:1 scale style models that tell a story of training, professionalism and the talent of designers who are now established professionals. A story of collaborations with world-class automotive brands: Tesla, Honda, Alfa Romeo, Suzuki, Cisitalia, Pininfarina, Abarth, Fiat to name but a few. A history of projects that have involved major manufacturers and many component companies in the sector.
“An important legacy,” says Michele Albera, Coordinator of the Transportation Design Area at IED Turin, “that bears witness to the evolution of the style, technique and design approach of so many students who are now an integral part of a constantly evolving sector. The creation of these prototypes and the historic collaboration with prestigious car manufacturers represents a unique and added value that is part of IED’s DNA and that we have strengthened over time and continue to implement with each new project”.
