The Renault Twingo returns in a 100% electric version. The city car, still in concept form and whose official name is Twingo Legend, was unveiled during the Renault group’s Capital Market Days directly by CEO Luca de Meo. According to the statement, the shapes created by the style centre led by Gilles Vidal will be very close to the production model that will arrive in 2025 and cost less than 20,000 euros.
The design of the car recalls that of the first series, released in 1993 and designed by Patrick Le Quément. The model will have five doors and will be built on the Ampere A platform, developed in-house by the French group and dedicated exclusively to 100% electric models. Inevitable are the arched headlights in relief on the bodywork and vertical development, and the three air intakes, now graphic, at the top of the bonnet.
